I am considering buying grid4php but I want to know if a record can be edited in modal form and that modal form can be designed by custom tabs. I have 40 fiels per table and I want to organice the information

Hello,
Currently it’s not supported. As this is generic component you can do limited customizations.
Multiple columns for fields and header section is currently supported.
