I have installed a phpgrid solution (master -> detail structure) on Plesk and everything runs smoothly except for this one thing:
– when I try to add a record an error gets thrown (see below; it occurs both on master and detail grid) even if the record, in the end, gets inserted in the database
– when I edit the record there is no problem.
It may be a permission problem (don't know for sure). Any clue? Thanks

Most likely causes:
IIS received the request; however, an internal error occurred during the processing of the request. The root cause of this error depends on which module handles the request and what was happening in the worker process when this error occurred.
IIS was not able to access the web.config file for the Web site or application. This can occur if the NTFS permissions are set incorrectly.
IIS was not able to process configuration for the Web site or application.
The authenticated user does not have permission to use this DLL.
The request is mapped to a managed handler but the .NET Extensibility Feature is not installed.
Things you can try:
Ensure that the NTFS permissions for the web.config file are correct and allow access to the Web server's machine account.
Check the event logs to see if any additional information was logged.
Verify the permissions for the DLL.
Install the .NET Extensibility feature if the request is mapped to a managed handler.

To debug:
Use firefox->firebug->net->ajax-call of grid->response. You will see the output there, in case of any error. It should be proper JSON format data in order to render grid

Tried but no JSON error shows. The record is inserted, as I stated in the original post, but the http 500 error still shows. On a local installation on my pc there is no error so it is PLESK related, any clue to what it could be? This is, anyway, the JSON response:

It's related to the php version installed on plesk.
A phpgrid solution works smoothly with Plesk on php 5.3.29, has the above mentioned problem on php 5.4.45 and does not work on php 5.5.38 or 5.6.33

Please check php error log for details. There must be some extension missing otherwise we've tested it on php7 as well.

Hi, the php error log does not report anything missing or any kind of error.
The IIS log has all blue records except for the one relating to the error, which is in red:
2018-02-02 11:30:28 POST /lunikgas/tab_sedi.php =&grid_id=list1 HTTP/1.1
But no clue as to what php dependency may be missing.
