Dear Abu,

How to disable the "select2" dropdown on grid in inline edit mode because due to larger records in database for that dropdown grid loading becomes too slow or hangs.

Hello,

It is not supported in current version.
Edit control display remains same in inline/dialog modes.

I would recommend to use autocomplete, that uses ajax based on-demand record fetching.
Select2 also uses ajax based loading, but it's not supported with phpgrid now.
